General Information

The foundation of our department was decided in 1999. In the 2002-2003 academic year, the Old Turkish Language, in the 2004-2005 academic year, the Turkish Language and Literature undergraduate program was started in the academic year 2005-2006.


New Turkish Language, New Turkish Literature, Old Turkish Language, Old Turkish Literature and Turkish Folk Literature section; historical period Turkish languages ​​(Old Turkish, Karahanlıca, Old Ottoman Turkish, etc.), Turkish grammar; linguistics to; Ottoman period Turkish literature; Modern Turkish literature from all aspects of Tanzimat to today; folk literature and professional English.


Students who complete their four-year education will graduate with a total of 147 credits. Our department aims to give students a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective in their studies.
